The beauty of a stippling brush.

You ask stippling brush? What is that? In the beginning when i started my makeup career 4 years ago i only knew about sponges, brushes and fingers to apply foundation to the face. At first it worked for me until i began to realise i wasn't satisfied with the finished look, it wasn't flawless enough. Then i discovered the term airbrushed look and how it could be achieved using an airbrush gun, specially made for applying foundation, blush, even eyeshadow, but looking at my budget i knew it was something i wasn't ready to invest in. They are usually expensive and they come with their own special foundations and what not. I also asked myself how many people would pay for such services, believe me not much.
After much research on the internet i discovered the one thing that would give me what i want without hurting my pocket or my clients 'big grin'.

The stippling brush is a duo fiber brush that can be used to apply liquid foundation, blush, bronzer and powder. It gives a light application due to the fact that it isn't densely packed and is spread out, but the most beautiful thing about this brush is that it gives an airbrush look when applying liquid foundation. I got one for myself, used it and could not believe the flawlessness of the finished look. I am officially in love.

The way the stippling brush is used to apply liquid foundation is totally different from the usual way a foundation brush, sponge or fingers are used. This i will explain more in my next post (how to use it and the finished look).

Stippling brush from Bmpro
(Banke Meshida Lawal)

As you can see my BMPRO brush has been used, the bristles are usually white and black (the white part of the brush is longer and the black part is shorter). The brush is of good quality and doesn't shed. Not sure what the hair is made of but i believe the hair is real and not synthetic. After using it i was quite satisfied with the result. A bit pricey but i was lucky to get it at a discount from BMPRO studio, Dolphin Estate Lagos.

That is my little experience with a stippling brush, still have more to explore in terms of blush and bronzer application. Leave comments and let me know your own experience with this miracle worker.
Cheers!
